About The Owner
We love Tioga County - Home of the PA Grand Canyon. The endless mountains and the beautiful gorge provides so many outdoor activates. The area is home to abundant wildlife. The Rails to Trails that parallels the Pine Creek through the gorge was voted one of the top 10 bike trails in the world by USA today. Visit the web site https://www.traillink.com/trail/pine-creek-rail-trail/ We are 20 minutes from Lyman run State Park that has 40 miles of ATV trails.
We stayed on Kathy and Daves's property for several nights. It is in the heart of the Pine Creek Gorge region and not far from local outfitters. We were able to bike the rails to trails path in the Gorge and Hike the West Rim Trail. The spot offers great convenience and at a reasonable price. Kathy and Dave offer their property because they want to share its beauty and beauty of the region. We appreciated walking the wide, mown paths above the parking spot. It is just down the road from state lands that offer 4 wheel and snowmobile access. Exiting the spot is a little tricky. We were able to make the turn with our 27' travel trailer. For something larger, I would recommend turning right and going half a mile to the end of the road where there is more room. A dump station is just down the road about two miles at "crooked creek" for $10. They also offer a fire ring with wood available. We enjoyed sitting around the campfire drinking a cup of tea and getting to know them. Kathy and Dave, you were very gracious hosts, thank you!.-Mike Lockwood
