Hi, we are a retired military family. We fell in love with Carlisle and decided to finally set down roots here. Carlisle is a beautiful, giving community that is a major transportation hub. We are located within several miles of both I-81 and the PA turnpike.

Reviews

Not enough space to write about all the good things this property had to offer. Huge fire pit, water and electric hookup, ample privacy with the trailer being parked on the other side of the garage. My personal favorite was coming home at night and tethering a tube in the Conodoguinet creek while the sun set. Looking forward to checking out another property next summer. 5 out of 5 stars-Paul Aranda

This was our first time booking with upCLOSE RV. We heard about them on the StressLess Camping podcast (also highly recommend). The concept of wanting a place to park safely for one night or one month with a reservation while close to the action was very appealing. We are new owners of an Oliver LEII travel trailer, but we are not new to traveling around the country with the military. Booking with upCLOSE RV is something we will definitely do again in the future. Now we want to rate this property. It is everything promised in the description and more. The site is very level and the water and power hook ups worked perfectly. We found the Flying J dump station without any issues with a $10 fee to dump. The neighborhood is quiet and really well kept. We enjoyed walking our dog while admiring the houses. There is also a large city park just down the street with a paved walking path. The STAR of this property is the backyard! The creek that runs through it is lovely and peaceful. We sat out along the banks both nights we were there with a cold beverage. There was also a picnic table and fire pit available. So relaxing! The water's not too deep and we saw some young men walking up the creek while fishing the first night. Birds were also having good luck dive bombing for fish, which was amazing to watch! Location, location, location - Carlisle is a neat town and is the home of the Army War College and museum. There's also a historic downtown area we drove through and we ordered takeout from one of the local restaurants we found on Yelp. We drove to Gettysburg to tour the battlefield on a Saturday morning and it only took us about 45 minutes. The drive took us through several potential stops for fresh apples later in the summer. Thank you to Kim and Mike for sharing your lovely property! ~ Tommy and Amanda Bertrand-Amanda Bertrand
