Hello, everybody, my name is Mike Lockwood president and CEO of UpClose-RV. Today I am going to walk you through the steps it takes to set up an UpClose profile on our web page. This should take you only about 5 minutes. To begin with, you want to navigate to the UpClose-RV homepage at www.upcloserv.com.
Once you get to the home page, you will see our logo up in the left-hand corner. As we navigate through the website any time you wish to return to the home page just left click on our logo.
At the top of the main screen you will see various tabs one for travelers, one for hosts, one that gives you information on how our company got started. Another one and opens up a feedback form for you to get support, and finally another one that allows you to log in and manage your account once established.
So for this video click on the “Our Story” tab. This will take you to the “Our Story” page. Towards the bottom of our page, you will see several paragraphs that will give you a little bit information about how and why the company got started. You can review this later at your convenience.
However, for the purposes of this video of go ahead and select the “Join us today” button more towards the middle of the page.
By clicking on the “join us today” button you are taken to a new page that will request information to set up your access to our system. Here you are going to put in your name, your e-mail address, establish a password, and agree to the terms of our website at placing a check mark in the little box. If you want to review the terms for the web site click on the highlighted text terms of service and that will take you to our terms of service page.
Once you have completed all the items on this page select the join button to proceed the next page to set up your profile. However, since I have already established an account I will select the link to log on. Either way, you and I will be taken to the profile page.
Once we are at the profile page you will want to enter data will let the users know a little bit about yourself. The first item in the order is to upload a photo. This is not required but will help travelers and hosts recognize each other when they are doing business together for the first time. By clicking on the square box this will open up an explorer box in which you can select the file from your computer that you want to pull in to use as your picture.
The next items are fairly self-explanatory. You want to fill out your name. If you own an RV you will want to select the type of RV from the dropdown menu and then indicate its size. However, if you don’t have an RV and you’re setting up this profile as a property owner you do not need to do anything with these two fields.
The next item on the profile page is a free text box. Here, you want just let users know a little bit about yourself. This really helps establish credibility amongst the users of UpClose-RV and goes along the lines of our vision to create a neighborhood across the nation. Once you finish typing in the free text box hit the save button. And that will complete the process of setting up your profile on a web site. The next video will take up from this point and show you how to set up a property listing on our website until then thanks again for your desire to be a member of the UpClose-RV family.
